What is Coaching?
A life coach does for your life what a sports coaching does for athletes.
Successful sports men and women know they need a sports coach to teach
them valuable technical skills.
A sports coach also helps them master their emotions and
build self-confidence because they know that success is as much about
keeping cool under pressure as it is about technical skill.
Because a sports coach can see the athlete objectively
and notice things about them that they don’t see for themselves – their
insights and constructive feedback can help the athlete make progress
quicker.
The coach is there to encourage and motivate when the athlete
is ready to give up. And to help the athlete grow bigger and stronger
so that their challenges seem smaller.
Many people in all walks of life are discovering the power of life coaching
to help them create happier and more rewarding lives. A Life Coach helps
you overcome obstacles in your personal and working life and to achieve
your career, business, relationship, wealth and health goals, more skilfully,
confidently, enjoyably and quicker.
Instead of medals, clients win happier, healthier and wealthier
lives!
“Don’t ask for your problems to go away. Ask to grow bigger so your problems seem tiny.” Anthony Robbins
Why Coaching?
There are many resources to help you boost your confidence – training courses, counselling, psychotherapy, books, friends, family, partner and colleagues
From books and training you can certainly get many useful techniques and the presentation style can be very motivating. But…research shows that we implement about 20% of what we learn in training courses (even less from books) while we tend to implement 80% from coaching. My sessions combine training and coaching.
Friends, family, partner and colleagues sometimes have useful experience, insight and encouragement to offer. However they are not trained to help you overcome the obstacles your mind and emotions put in the way.
And sometimes these people are part of the problem!
